Museum tour guide app
Task and Concept
In cooperation between the Hof University of Applied Sciences and the Forest Experience Center Mehlmeisel, a permanent exhibition about the local flora and fauna was to be created.
Together with my fellow student Isabell Katzor, I developed a digital tour guide for the upcoming exhibition.
Style Guide
The colors of the app occur naturally in the Fichtel Mountains, where the museum is located. The font has been taken from the exhibition for a uniform appearance.
Beacons
The integration of the app into the museum visit should be seamless. That's why we chose Bluetooth beacons, which enable automated communication between the smartphone and the exhibit.
App
The main focus of the app is to create a tour through the museum for the visitor, as an addon further background knowledge is provided at the exhibits.
The creation of tours through the museum or filtering by topic, is one of the core features of the app.
