Task and Concept
Slavery is often seen as a phenomenon of the past, unfortunately this could not be further from the truth. Currently, an estimated 40 million people live in slavery, never before in human history have there been more people affected.
In my bachelor thesis I wanted to create a German language website that informs about slavery in an easy to understand and visual way.
Style Guide
When choosing the fonts, good readability on all devices was the main focus. With a modern serif font, I wanted to build a bridge to the theme, as this also links the past with the present. The final decision was made in favor of Bitter.
When choosing the colors, it was important to pay attention to the meaning of the colors and color combinations in order to prevent unwanted associations with such a sensitive topic.
Infografics
I chose infographics to simplify the mostly complicated data.
Animation
To support the messages of the infographics and present them in a more visually appealing way, most of them are animated. The animation is controlled by the user's scrolling.

Using Webflow, I created a prototype from the assets.
